Transforming Commercial Real Estate Education

A New Path to the RPA®, FMA®, SMT®, SMA®

The recruitment and development of talent is one of the most pressing issues facing commercial real estate. BOMA and BOMI are making a huge multi-year investment in micro-credentials and Short Courses that will offer a new path to the RPA for the commercial real estate workforce, to deliver high quality education and just-in-time training in ways that can be incorporated into diverse lifestyles.

Employees who work for companies that have effective onboarding and employee development opportunities are 18X's more committed to their employer. Companies that provide employee development opportunities improve employee retention by 86% (research and consulting firm Brandon Hill, Florida), experience 70% greater productivity, which results in 63% higher customer satisfaction and a 60% year over year increase in revenue.

World-class Curriculum

BOMI is the 501(c)3 educational institute of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International, providing industry leading designation programs. More than 43,000 credentials have been earned, and more than 90,000 have turned to BOMI and taken over 400,000 courses. Together, BOMA and BOMI are the industry’s trusted source for outstanding education with a proven record of increasing job performance and company efficiency. This is a call for support from the industry as a whole to invest in timely and contemporary workforce development opportunities

How You Can Contribute

Become a BOMI Benefactor

In order to accomplish these goals, we are calling upon the Commercial Real Estate Industry for support in the form of charitable donations. BOMA has already invested over $750,000 into this project and with your help we can continue these initiatives on an aggressive timeline. BOMI Benefactors are eligible for a tax-write off in the year they contribute, as BOMI is a 501c3.

What You Will Recieve

Contribution Tiers

Contributions are available in three tiers (Gold - $50,000, Silver - $25,000, and Bronze - $10,000) and will be invested in the updating and delivery of current and new educational products, including the research and development of new courses to meet the needs of the changing marketplace. Funds may also be applied to BOMI’s scholarship program, providing financial support for industry professionals pursuing BOMI education. We accept multi-year financial commitments, as well as individual investments at any level.

As a thank you for contributing, BOMI Benefactors will receive:

  • Recognition on the BOMA/BOMI website, launching in late 2024. Gold Benefactors will be listed with logos on the education landing page, with a link to a complete list that includes the names of sponsors at all levels.
